Dato’ Sri Anand Raja, originally from the state of Kedah started off as an entrepreneur from a working class family and build his business up till present. Being a leader within his community as the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) Chairman of Melati Branch in Kulim Kedah, Dato’ Sri Anand Raja also has vast leadership experience in the corporate and business world. With almost 15 years experience in the industry, Dato’ Sri Anand Raja has carved a niche sector with his conglomerate of companies, Euro Group making it a pioneer in the ship maintenance industry, heavy metal works, undertaking construction and development projects, and even venturing overseas with the trading of Halal products from China. Dato’ Sri Anand Raja is also the Chairman of Yayasan Kebajikan Kebangsaan Malaysia (YKKM) (A Registered Foundation) and a Director of Pertubuhan India Kebangsaan 1 Malaysian (A Registered NGO).
